High pressure will ensure Portland sees sunny and warm weather Tuesday as daytime temperatures reach near 90.
The National Weather Service says onshore flow will keep temps cooler along the coast and clouds will hang out along the beaches for the next several days.
Portland’s morning lows were already in the upper 50s and low 60s as of 5:30 a.m. Temperatures will climb quickly under clear sunny skies.
Wednesday will be a near repeat of Tuesday. Skies will be sunny and clear, and Portland will see a high temp of about 90 degrees. Onshore flow begins to strengthen later in the day as the upper ridge that’s been bringing in the warm temps shifts east.
Cooler marine air will spread inland overnight Wednesday and into Thursday morning. The valleys should see some low clouds early in the day. Portland’s skies will be mostly sunny, but the high temperature will cool some, to near 86 degrees.
The extended forecast is showing much of the same type of weather into the end of the week. Portland will be under sunny skies and highs should be near 82 degrees Friday and Saturday, and a touch warmer Sunday.
