Portland motorcyclist dies in Milwaukie crash

A 57-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday after a collision in Milwaukie.

James Sheehan, of Portland, was traveling northbound on Oregon 99E on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he collided with a southbound Mazda turning left at Southeast Jennings Avenue around 9:20 p.m., police said.

The other driver, 76-year-old David Norby, was unharmed. Sheehan died at the scene, police said.

Investigators are looking into the motorcycle’s speed as a factor in the crash. The investigation is on-going, Stephanie Bigman, Oregon State Police captain, said.
