Oregon women’s basketball to face North Carolina at Phil Knight Invitational in Portland

EUGENE — The Oregon women’s basketball team will play North Carolina in Portland on Thanksgiving Day as part of the Phil Knight Invitational.

The Ducks and Tar Heels will meet at the Chiles Center at 2 p.m. Nov. 24 on ESPNU.

Oregon will then play either Iowa State or Michigan State, which meet in an opening-round game after the Ducks. The championship game will be at 4:30 p.m. at the Moda Center on ESPN2 and the third place game will be at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

UO and UNC have split two all-time meetings, with Oregon beating the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill during the 2016-17 season and North Carolina beating the Ducks in Eugene in 2014-15.

Oregon is also 2-1 all-time against Michigan State and 1-2 against Iowa State.
