Two men died early Saturday morning in a crash about four miles north of the Sauvie Island Bridge, police said Monday.
Oregon State Police troopers responded to the collision about 1 a.m. on U.S. 30, near milepost 12, in northwest Multnomah County.
Police said Kody Hansen, 24, of Warren, was speeding west in a GMC Sierra when his truck left the road and struck a parked Audi AA8.
Dale Herren, 45, and Jennifer Herren, 43, of St. Helens, were inside the Audi. Dale Herren was killed and his wife, Jennifer, was taken to the hospital with injuries, police said.
The GMC truck hit two more unoccupied cars and a power pole before veering over an embankment and crashing into the front porch of a home, police said.
Hansen also died at the crash scene.
The state police, Portland Police Bureau and Scappoose police and Oregon Department of Transportation helped with the investigation, which closed the state highway for five hours Saturday morning.
